Adding to the hype of the upcoming new album from the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl has revealed new information regarding special guests featured on said album. In his recent interview with Billboard Magazine, Grohl shares that the as-of-yet-untitled album will feature Zac Brown, Rick Nielsen, and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, in addition to a guest appearance by Joe Waters, who was already revealed, and some other guests, who have not been yet. Foo Fighters recently gave a surprise performance while in New Orleans at New Orleans Preservation Hall. Moreover, their album-recording process sounds refreshingly organic. As reported in an earlier L4LM article, Foo Fighters recorded this album in studios across America and filmed the process for Grohl’s forthcoming HBO TV series. Building on this, Grohl shared that he waited until the culmination of each day’s recording session to write lyrics, in order to accurately reflect their daily experiences, as well as the personalities of the collaborating artists. So far, no set release date has been publicized.
