The New Mastersounds have locked down some funky New Years Eve plans! At The Joy Theatre in New Orleans, LA, NMS will be co-headlining a NYE throwdown alongside Foundation of Funk, a supergroup comprised of members of both the Mastersounds and the Meters!
Foundation of Funk is an awesome collaboration which features Zigaboo Modeliste and George Porter Jr. of the Original Meters with special guests Eddie Roberts and Joe Tatton of the New Mastersounds. This New Mastersounds/Meters hybrid is sure to be a treat, as both bands continue to play some of the best funk around. As Porter Jr. and Modeliste have been around the funk scene for decades, their set is sure to keep the fans on their feet.

The New Mastersounds are gearing up for their new album release, Made For Pleasure, and will be bringing the upbeat funk on each stop of their fall tour. Once that tour gets going on September 30th, there’s no stopping this British funk crew! The band will be touring the country, and landing in New Orleans for New Years is a perfect cap to what has already been an excellent 2015 for the Mastersounds.
