February 9th marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ performance on the Ed Sullivan Show. As the Ed Sullivan Theater currently houses Late Show With David Letterman, the late night talk show has been running a “Beatles Tribute Week” featuring musical guests performing Beatles’ covers.

On Monday, Broken Bells performed “And I Love Her,” using a vintage montage of Ringo Starr playing drums in the background. You can watch that one here.

Then, on Tuesday, Sting, along with Ivy Levan and Mike Einziger, performed a rousing rendition of “Drive My Car.” You can check it out here:

Beep beep, beep beep, yeah.

Last night, Lenny Kravitz took the stage to perform the Beatles’ hit, “Get Back.” Here’s that video:

All in all, it’s making for an exciting week of prominent artists paying tribute to the musical masters. The rest of the week won’t disappoint either… tonight’s musical guests are The Flaming Lips with Sean Lennon, and tomorrow night’s musical guest is Ms. Lauryn Hill. No word yet as to which song they will play, but we’ll be sure to post the videos once they’re available.
