This Phish-themed night is set to feature special experiences, including a pre- and post-game concerts by Philly Phish tribute band Rift inside Stateside Live! next door to Xfinity Mobile Arena. Attendees will also receive a one-of-a-kind, co-branded Phish-Flyers t-shirt. WMMR’s Casey Boy from the Preston & Steve show will host the pre-game concert.
[Update 1/7/26]: Ahead of Phish Night at The Flyers on Thursday, January 8th, the Flyers have announced additional details about the evening’s festivities. All fans in attendance at the game can look forward to tributes to Phish throughout the night. Don’t miss a Phish x Flyers photo op at section 117 and a special menu of Phish-themed concession items available including a Split Open and Melt Cheesesteak (Section 122), a Poor Heart Burger (Section 124), a Ruby Waves cocktail (East Food Hall), and a Scent of a Mule cocktail (East Food Hall).
Plus, Federal Donuts—the donut shop whose creations became a foundational element of Phish’s 2017 Baker’s Dozen residency in New York —will also offer a limited number of the iconic “Fishman” donut, a classic spiced cake donut with blue vanilla cream glaze & a red raspberry glaze ring reminiscent of the iconic Phish donut pattern. The specialty donut was the first of many collaborations between Federal Donuts and the band, and returns for one night only to celebrate the first-ever Phish Night at the Flyers. A limited quantity of the “Fishman” will be available at the Federal Donuts location at Xfinity Mobile Arena section 102.
“The Philadelphia Flyers and Phish both have tremendously loyal and passionate fanbases that have intersected over the past several decades with historic live shows at the arenas we’ve called home,” said Flyers Chief Revenue and Business Officer Todd Glickman in a press release announcing the event. “From the Flyers faithful to the Phish fans, I cannot wait to see everyone come together under one roof at Xfinity Mobile Arena to ‘surrender to the flow’ on January 8.”
A decades-long connection exists between Phish and the Flyers. Before performing at the Flyers’ original home, The Spectrum, for the first time on December 15th, 1995, the seminal jam band visited the team’s training center to meet various players. Prior to the show that evening, guitarist and vocalist Trey Anastasio wore a Flyers #10 John LeClair jersey, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Two of Phish’s historic performances at The Spectrum are available on the live album The Spectrum ’97, which captures the band at the classic venue during its storied fall ’97 tour
Phish also has history at Xfinity Mobile Arena, where the band—comprised of Anastasio, drummer Jon Fishman, bassist Mike Gordon, and keyboardist Page McConnell—twice performed the national anthem before Flyers games (1997, 1999) and later played back-to-back shows over Thanksgiving weekend 2009.

The Flyers have often dedicated special nights to notable musicians. Last season, the franchise hosted theme nights based around the Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, and more.
Phish recently rounded out 2025 with a four-night New Year’s Eve run at New York’s Madison Square Garden culminating in an ice cream-themed New Year’s gag. Read Live For Live Music‘s full breakdown of Phish’s “It’s Ice Cream” New Year’s show here. Find tickets to upcoming Phish concerts here.
