[Originally published 11/13/25]: Let’s get down to the nitty Gritty: The Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League will host the first-ever Phish Night at the Flyers at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, when the Flyers host the Toronto Maple Leafs.

This Phish-themed night is set to feature special experiences, including a concert by Philly Phish tribute band Rift. Attendees will also receive a one-of-a-kind, co-branded Phish-Flyers t-shirt. WMMR’s Casey Boy from the Preston & Steve show will host the pre-game concert.

[Update 12/22/25]: Due to overwhelming demand, the Philadelphia Flyers have added additional tickets for Phish Night at the Flyers on January 8th, 2026, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena. The concert by Philly-area Phish cover band Rift will now take place inside Stateside Live! next door to the Xfinity Arena, with the band playing both a pre- and post-game show. The concerts are separately ticketed events, and fans who purchase a special ticket package can choose to attend either the pre-game show (5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) or the post-game show (beginning approximately 30 minutes after the end of the game). Fans who purchase the ticket package will also receive a limited-edition Phish Flyers t-shirt.

“The Philadelphia Flyers and Phish both have tremendously loyal and passionate fanbases that have intersected over the past several decades with historic live shows at the arenas we’ve called home,” said Flyers Chief Revenue and Business Officer Todd Glickman in a press release announcing the event. “From the Flyers faithful to the Phish fans, I cannot wait to see everyone come together under one roof at Xfinity Mobile Arena to ‘surrender to the flow’ on January 8.”

A decades-long connection exists between Phish and the Flyers. Before performing at the Flyers’ original home, The Spectrum, for the first time on December 15th, 1995, the seminal jam band visited the team’s training center to meet various players. Prior to the show that evening, guitarist and vocalist Trey Anastasio wore a Flyers #10 John LeClair jersey, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Two of Phish’s historic performances at The Spectrum are available on the live album The Spectrum ’97, which captures the band at the classic venue during its storied fall ’97 tour

Phish also has history at Xfinity Mobile Arena, where the band—comprised of Anastasio, drummer Jon Fishman, bassist Mike Gordon, and keyboardist Page McConnell—twice performed the national anthem before Flyers games (1997, 1999) and later played back-to-back shows over Thanksgiving weekend 2009.

Every ticket purchased through this special ticket package link includes a commemorative Flyers x Phish t-shirt and entrance to a pregame concert by Rift.
