In a recent interview on the Dame Dash Radio Show, singer Faith Evans, Notorious B.I.G.‘s widow, discussed a posthumous Biggie album, that would feature duets with Evans cut from various vocal tracks that the MC had recorded before he was murdered in a drive-by-shooting on March 9th, 1997. The album, called The King & I, could see the light of day be this Fall, which will follow a single set for a summer release.
“Today, if he was alive, I know, ultimately, we would’ve done something like this.” Evans went on to say, “But the way the stuff has come together, and the way I’m using his vocals, it’s giving the stuff new life, it’s totally different. So I think people are really going to enjoy it.”
The singer went on to say that a Biggie hologram is also in the works, which could be employed during a Bad Boy records tour, which Evans would potentially be performing on, if it actually happens. “….I don’t necessarily know to what extent I’m gonna perform with it. But I want to debut it in the first video for the album, and maybe use it a little bit performing live.”
