Old Crow Medicine Show released a new music video on Friday for the band’s latest song, “Quarantined”. Old Crow originally shared the song on its web series, Hartland Hootenanny, hosted by founding member Ketch Secor.

Arriving as a cross between a love song and a tune about coronavirus best practices, the lyrics are topical and extremely fitting given the current global health crisis. The opening line, “I’d like to kiss ya but I’m quarantined,” serves as the song’s refrain. Throughout “Quarantined”, Secor notes all the things he’d like to do with this unnamed person, including hugging and taking them out dancing, though he is unable because he’s “got to wait fourteen nights.”

The song’s music video saw Secor playing all of the band’s instruments, including banjo, drums, bass, and guitar. Filmed from his quarantine location with help from Morgan Jahnig, multiple versions of Secor appear on the screen at once, wearing masks when there are two or more.

Old Crow Medicine Show – “Quarantined” – Lyrics

I’d like to kiss ya but I’m quarantined
I got to keep my lips off the scene
Cause there ain’t no cure for me I prolly ought to lay down and die
I long to hug you and to hold you tight
But I got to wait fourteen nights
Influenza’s got a hold of me
I’d like to kiss you but I’m quarantined

Doc told me this morning
Go on and seal yourself away
From the little girl you been loving
That’s the orders of the day
So darling don’t ya cry when ya hear me say

I’d like to kiss ya but I’m quarantined
I got to keep my lips off the scene
Cause there ain’t no cure for me I prolly ought to lay down and die
I long to hug you and to hold you tight
But I got to wait fourteen nights
Influenza’s got a hold of me
I’d like to kiss you but I’m quarantined

I love to take ya out dancing
Where the rowdy people go
But I can’t take no chances
One little cough could kill us all
I’d like to hug ya—-

I’d like to kiss ya but I’m quarantined
I got to keep my lips off the scene
Cause there ain’t no cure for me I prolly ought to lay down and die
I long to hug you and to hold you tight
But I got to wait fourteen nights
Influenza’s got a hold of me
I’d like to kiss you but I’m quarantined

Shine if it don’t make me no difference what’s the disease
Cause If I can’t find me no loving
Just let me fall on my knees and forego all decrees from the CDC

I’d like to kiss ya but I’m quarantined
I got to keep my lips off the scene
Cause there ain’t no cure for me I prolly ought to lay down and die
I long to hug you and to hold you tight
But I got to wait fourteen nights
Influenza’s got a hold of me
I’d like to kiss you but I’m quarantined
I’d like to love ya but I’m quarantined
I’d like to hug ya but I’m quarantined
I’d like Fff—friend ya but I’m quarantined
