Back in 1982, Ozzy Osbourne was banned from San Antonio, Texas for ten years after he was arrested for public intoxication and notoriously urinating on the famous Alamo Cenotaph monument dedicated to soldiers who passed in the 1836 Texas Revolution. The incident subsequently led him to undergo treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. Now, more than three decades later, the Prince of Darkness has returned to the monument for the first time to make amends for his behavior.

As Rolling Stone reports, Osbourne toured the site along with his son, Jack, for a segment on the History Channel. “This is my first time here, not his,” Jack, who has a travelogue series coming out on the History Channel, quipped to their tour guide. The group explored the famous site amidst hoards of excited fans.

Ten years after his arrest, Osbourne was pardoned when he donated $10,000 to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. He has since performed in the city of San Antonio twice, though this was his first return to the monument since the incident.
