Papadosio has announced the final two shows the band will play before going on indefinite touring hiatus. The Athens, OH-born jamtronic band will return to the Buckeye State for a two-night, two-city run in October.

As it currently stands, Papadosio will go from its annual curated Subterranea event at The Caverns in Pelham, TN (10/4–10/5) to the new Globe Iron in Cleveland for its penultimate concert on Friday, October 10th. Papadosio will then say goodbye on Saturday, October 11th at Riverfront Live in Cincinnati for its last show before entering an indefinite hiatus from touring.

“As our hiatus approaches, we can’t think of a better place than Ohio to host our last shows for the foreseeable future,” the band wrote on social media.

Tickets for the final Papadosio shows in Cleveland and Cincinnati are on sale now via the respective venue websites. The band’s tour dates are sparse between now and then, playing Secret Dream Music & Arts Festival in Thornville, OH (7/17–7/19), Gambler’s Run Music Festival in Crystal Bay, NV on July 24th, Elements Music & Arts Festival in Long Pond, PA on August 8th, the free Boomtown Festival in the band’s adopted hometown of Asheville, NC (8/29–8/31), and Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium on September 6th with support from Motifv and Flying Burrito Brothers, followed by Subterranea. Find tickets and tour dates on the band’s website.

The perennial jamtronic workhorse shocked fans in January when the band announced it would cease touring for the foreseeable future after 2025. In its announcement, Papadosio emphasized “we are not breaking up as a band,” and that the group will continue to write and record new music.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your love and support, your consistent words of encouragement, your cheers, and your ears,” the band wrote. “We have never felt like we have deserved any of it, however you continued to show up night after night and we couldn’t have asked for better friends, fans, or family.”

This news came amid an ongoing wave of indefinite hiatuses for jam bands that emerged in the mid-to-late 2000s. Just three weeks before Papadosio’s announcement, Dopapod took its final bows after 16 years on New Year’s Eve (also in Ohio). Prior to that, Twiddle said farewell in November 2023, with Aqueous hanging it up just a few months before that.
