After treating fans to a special intimate performance at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on Tuesday, Paul McCartney has announced a second surprise show at the 600-capacity venue, once again on the day of. Tickets for both shows were priced at $50 and sold out within an hour.

Tuesday night saw the Beatles bassist run through a career-spanning, 22-song setlist featuring 14 Beatles tracks, including their Grammy-winning final song “Now and Then”, a few Wings favorites, and a sole solo selection, “Come On to Me”. The perpetually charming Sir Paul took advantage of the venue’s intimate atmosphere, supplementing the music with witty banter and responding directly to shouts from the audience throughout the performance. Footage from the concert has been scant, as attendees were prohibited from bringing in their phones.

The Beatle will return to the venue again tonight, Wednesday, February 12th, for a second show. Tickets were once again sold exclusively at the Bowery Ballroom box office, with a strict limit of one ticket per person, and sold out almost immediately.

McCartney previously played similarly intimate NYC shows including one at Highline Ballroom in 2007, a Valentine’s Day show at Irving Plaza in 2015, and a livestreamed performance at Grand Central Terminal in 2018. His last concert in the region was at the 80,000+ capacity MetLife Stadium in 2022.

He is also set to perform at the star-studded SNL50: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday as part of Saturday Night Live‘s extended 50th anniversary celebration. The event will also feature Eddie Vedder, David Byrne, Jack White, Bonnie Raitt, and many more.
