Yesterday, Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament and manager Kelly Curtis took part in a Reddit AMA session, revealing some interesting tidbits about the band’s future plans. According to Curtis, not only will the band “announce tour dates [in the] first part of the year,” but the group also has plans to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
While the band wouldn’t admit any specifics, fans will recall that Pearl Jam celebrated their 20th anniversary with a three-day music festival.

The two said that there aren’t any particular plans for a new album, but that the group is “always in and out of the studio and constantly writing,” according to Curtis. Ament said that nothing has been recorded yet, but did not rule out the possibility.
Also, the band was asked if they’d ever play the Super Bowl. The response: “Ask me in 10 years OR if the Superbowl is ever in Seattle.” We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
