Peter Frampton is wringing out every last drop he can on his Never Say Never Tour with the announcement of new fall tour dates. The legendary guitarist, who was diagnosed with the degenerative nerve disease Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM) that will ultimately leave him unable to play guitar, added a new stretch of concerts throughout the U.S.
“I wanted to thank all who came to the Never Say Never tour this summer. I can’t thank you enough for your love and encouragement at every show!” Frampton said. “*Breaking news* I am going to be continuing the tour in November. I’m just a glutton for enjoyment and hope you can come see us.”
The new dates pick up on November 9th in Louisville, KY. The best-selling guitarist behind Frampton Comes Alive will cruise the South with dates in Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, and Alabama, before wrapping at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, a spot he visited earlier this year for a surprise sit-in with Gov’t Mule. He was also recently featured on Dolly Parton‘s new cover of “Let It Be” with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and Mick Fleetwood.
“At the end of every Finale Tour show I did say, ‘Never Say Never’ and I am always full of hope for the impossible,” Frampton added. “I’m very pleased to let you know that I am feeling strong and my fingers are still roaming the fretboard. Every note I play now has more meaning and soul. I love playing live and this fighter wants to stay in the ring for as long as he can. Much love, Peter.”
Tickets for the new Peter Frampton tour dates go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. local time via his website. See below for the list of new shows.
