In his continuing celebration of the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary at Terrapin Crossroads, bassist Phil Lesh has been recreating setlists from each year in the Dead’s history. A particularly rousing show in Berkeley, CA was the focus of last night’s show, as Phil & Friends performed the setlist from 9/12/81 in its entirety.

Watch Phil Lesh & Friends Recreate A Grateful Dead Setlist From 1980

Kicking off with a discussion of 1981 hosted by Lesh and photographer Jay Blakesberg, the band got to work on some of the Dead’s most classic tunes. The lineup of Phil Lesh, Stu Allen, Rob Barraco, Rob Eaton, Alex Koford, and Ezra Lipp kicked off with a “Shakedown Street” opener and never stopped rocking.
