On August 30th, Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh will perform in New York City’s Central Park for a Summerstage show along with the Terrapin Family Band and two special guests, Melvin Seals and Nicki Bluhm. With Melvin Seals on deck to perform on the electric organ, the collection of musicians will perform one tribute set for Jerry Garcia Band, the group headed by the late Grateful Dead guitarist and whose music has been kept alive and well by Seals and JGB.

Melvin Seals and Nicki Bluhm have each performed with the Grateful Dead bassist in the past before, with Bluhm joining Lesh, The Terrapin Family Band, and Bob Weir at Terrapin Crossroads in March for the venue’s 5th anniversary. This past weekend, Phil Lesh joined Melvin Seals and JGB for the first time ever at Terrapin Crossroads. To catch all of these musicians in action together, you can check them out when Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band hit Central Park Summerstage on August 30th. Tickets go sale to the public on May 19th, with more information about ticketing available here.
