After rumblings about a surprise guest during Saturday night’s Phish flood recovery benefit finale at the Broadview Stage at SPAC, guitarist Derek Trucks took the stage with the Vermont-native quartet during the show’s second set.

Following a strong first set and renditions of “Down With Disease”, “Ghost”, and “2001” to start the second frame, the Tedeschi Trucks Band guitarist quietly took the stage during the intro to “Golden Age” to add his distinctive slide guitar stylings to the mix. The Trucks-augmented outfit finished out the set together with collaborative takes on “Everything’s Right”, “A Life Beyond The Dream”, and “First Tube”. Derek was once again in tow when the band returned for a “Possum” encore.
