The Phish references in live television continue, as the trend prevailed itself in a culinary segment on WFSB’s Connecticut news. The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to host the third annual “Spooktacular Chili Challenge” and resident and culinary enthusiast Rob Perissi went live on television to demonstrate his own family recipe. Accompanied by his “sous chef” Meghan, the father and daughter duo incorporate Phish merchandise in their wardrobe and use a donut koozie for the recipe’s beer. During the demonstration, Perissi refers to “Simple,” “Grind,” “Meat,” “Devotion to a Dream,” “Foam,” and several other sly references to “Vermont’s phinest” foursome.
