Due to unsafe weather conditions Phish has been forced to postpone tonight’s show at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto to July 22nd. In a post on the band’s website the group officially announced the postponing, much to the dismay of both the band and the phans alike. Following Phish’s performance this past weekend at SPAC some phans drove 7 hours to see the band perform again, only to be told upon arrival that the concert is no longer going on. The band hasn’t played an international show in 13 years. This announcement wasn’t made until 6:30 p.m.

The official statement explains the following:

Due to insurmountable transportation and public safety issues resulting from the power outage in Toronto after severe downpours in the city, Phish’s performance tonight at Molson Canadian Amphitheare has been postponed. The show has been moved to Monday, July 22. All tickets will be honored at the new date. Refunds are available at point of purchase for fans who cannot attend. Phish has been greatly looking forward to their first Toronto appearance in nearly 13 years. Everyone involved worked tirelessly throughout the day and exhausted all options, but ultimately, public safety had to come first. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

While this postponing is unfortunate, phans still can look forward to their upcoming shows, including this Friday’s performance at Jones Beach. Don’t forget to come to Live For Live Music’s official after-party featuring Start Making Sense at Mulcahy’s Pub in Wantagh. Details about this show are attached below.
