Here is what what the official press release had to say (below, we have provided some info on the Mimi Fishman Foundation for your own knowledge):
Phish’s WaterWheel Foundation and the Mimi Fishman Foundation have teamed up for an on-line charity auction featuring Ticket & CD packages for the Phish 2013 Summer tour. The proceeds of the auction will benefit each of the organizations hosted by WaterWheel in each city across the tour.
Phish kicks off their 2013 Summer Tour on July 3 in Bangor, Maine and concludes their tour at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. Stops along the way include Saratoga Springs, Chicago, The Gorge, San Francisco, and the Hollywood Bowl.
The WaterWheel Foundation was created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the band’s various charitable activities. The Mimi Fishman Foundation was established in 1999 by Miriam “Mimi” Fishman (the late mother of Phish drummer Jon Fishman) and David Shulman – and was created as a vehicle to raise funds for various charities important to Mimi.
The on-line auction is currently live with the bidding coming to close on Wednesday, May 29.

Just to give you some background information, The Mimi Fishman Foundation is a volunteer-administered, fan-driven non-profit dedicated to raising funds for a diverse range of charitable organizations that each, in some way, touched the life of our founder Mimi Fishman. Mother to Phish’s drummer Jon Fishman; Mimi established the Foundation with the idea that partnering with bands like Phish could truly influence charitable giving and philanthropic engagement. Organizations supported by the Foundation are focused on the health and wellbeing of children and families with a particular emphasis on visual impairment. Inspired by one woman’s life journey, the Foundation lives on through the work of co-founder David Shulman and a small group of volunteers dedicated to Mimi’s mission.
Since 1999, the Foundation has raised over $500,000 utilizing an online auction system that provides supporters and fans rare opportunities to win unique pieces of merchandise, equipment and concert experiences. For over a decade, these auctions have served as an innovative funding solution while generating a reputation for being a key resource for rock memorabilia collectors.
