The Phoenix Presents—the live music arm of national 501(c)(3) nonprofit The Phoenix—is getting a major boost from the jam community thanks to a fan-led Instagram fundraiser that has already blown past its original $5,000 goal. Organized by NYC music fan Natalie Schrier (@guyutegirl), the campaign is now pushing toward $10,000 to support the organization’s growing slate of sober concerts, festivals, and community events.
Schrier’s latest campaign follows last year’s viral #happybirthdaytreyanastasio fundraiser, which raised over $30,000 for the Phish guitarist’s Divided Sky Foundation recovery non-profit. Everyone who donates to the Phoenix Presents fundraiser is automatically entered to win a prize donated by an array of musicians, vendors, and fans from across the jam scene and beyond, supporting the non-profit’s mission to produce 100% sober live-music experiences nationwide.
Highlight prizes include a signed Cam Thomas Brooklyn Nets jersey, rare Phish and Trey Anastasio posters by Jim Pollock, a one-hour guitar lesson from Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, LaMP), Goose and WaterWheel Foundation posters, a limited-edition, signed Soule Monde vinyl, Billy Strings and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard fan art, a Dogs In A Pile prize pack, handmade jewlery, art, and custom fan creations, and much more. That’s far from everything, and prize drops continue via the “TPF” highlight on Schrier’s Instagram.
The fundraiser runs through Tuesday, December 2nd (Giving Tuesday), and prize winners will be selected during an Instagram Live stream on Friday, December 5th. Donations can be made directly via Schrier’s official fundraising page on The Phoenix’s website. A $10 minimum suggested donation is encouraged, though all contributions are welcome, and every donor is automatically entered to win any of the available prizes.
The Phoenix Presents produces 100% alcohol-free and substance-free shows, designed to offer safe, fun, and supportive spaces for people in the live music community. Funds raised through the campaign directly support future sober-friendly programming and arrive just ahead of the organization’s next event, Greetings From New York, on December 12th in Brooklyn with Murray’s Law (Brian Murray and Jimmy Law of Dogs In A Pile) and Evan Jennison. Tickets for the show are available here.
“When you donate, you’re automatically entered to win a prize,” Schrier explained. “There’s no auction, no raffle—you simply give what you can, and you might end up with something worth $400 or something worth $40. It’s about keeping things equitable while supporting sober live-music spaces.”
The Phoenix offers a wide range of substance-free community events nationwide, from concerts and yoga classes to outdoor adventures. The Phoenix Presents extends that mission into the live music space, building a welcoming environment for fans who want to experience concerts without substances—a movement that has grown rapidly within the jam community.
“I’m honored to help raise money for an organization that creates safe, supportive spaces around the music we love,” Schrier added.
