Marco Benevento brought his eponymous trio on a trip through the Northeast over the weekend, making stops in Boston, Connecticut, Brooklyn, and Washington, D.C. before wrapping up the run in Ardmore, PA.

Joined by bassist Karina Rykman and drummer Chris Corsico as well as Ghost Funk Orchestra, who opened the show each night, Benevento took the opportunity to explore his extensive discography, stretching back to his 2008 debut Invisible Boy, and had a good time doing it.

“the amount of fun I have w [Karina] and [Chris] is immeasurable !!!! Last weeks Northeast tour was off the charts!!” he wrote in a social media post recapping the run. “Thanks to ALL who came out and danced each night away your energy was contagious and energizing. Thank you [Ardmore Music Hall] for an incredible tour closer this past Saturday night and a HUGE thanks to [Ghost Funk Orchestra] for opening up every night, gettin the crowd warmed up AND for sitting in with us. We love you beyond. Our new live double LP flew off the merch table as did all the shirts [Kt Benevento] made and the tour posters !!! Whewwww can’t believe all the love from everyone …still feelin it. Enjoy this beautiful spring weather and hope to see you soon …. Maybe JazzFest ????”
