Organizers at the cross-genre festival also announced partnerships with the Recording Academy, BandsinTown, Bandcamp, Amazon Music, and YouTube who will all help put on A Concert A Day. A full concert performance will be broadcast each day at 1 p.m. PT as part of YouTube’s Stay Home #WithMe initiative that encourages people to quarantine. Additionally, the broadcasts will raise money for MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund that helps musicians in need.

In addition to the concerts, the Recording Academy will host a daily premiere on the event’s Facebook page. Each day will feature either the performer themself or a renowned journalist to introduce the performance. For the premiere, the host will answer questions live and comment on the performance. Each installment of A Concert A Day will be viewable through Pickathon’s YouTube channel. In a press release, the festivals organizers said that A Concert A Day signals, “part of Pickathon’s movement from an annual festival to a year-round content creation company driven by some of the most creative minds in Portland, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.

“Stages at Pickathon are planned like independent films,” the release said. “With architects and visual artists creating one-of-a-kind experiences that drive the artists to career best performances which are rendered in multi-camera HD and subsequently released year round.”

See the schedule for week one below. As of now, Pickathon is still set to take place this year July 30th–August 2nd on the Pendarvis Farm in Portland, OR. Head to the festival’s website for tickets and information.
