Pigeons Playing Ping Pong has announced 14 new tour dates that will take the high-flying bird band across the U.S. for fall 2021. Among the announced dates is a tri-city run of Halloween shows that will land the band in Columbus, OH on October 31st.
The tour kicks off with a two-night run at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY (10/15, 10/16) before the band begins its trio of Halloween shows at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. (10/29). After returning to Pittsburgh’s Stage AE (the site of PPPP’s 2018 New Year’s StEve celebration) on 10/30, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will celebrate All Hallows Eve at Express Live! in Columbus, the band’s first show at the venue in 1,700 days.
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong’s 2021 fall tour will also include numerous debuts for the band. Starting off with Detroit’s Royal Oak Music Theatre (11/3), the quartet will make its debut at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis (11/4), The Pageant in St. Louis (11/5), and finally Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater (11/6) in the first week of November.
The last leg of the tour will see Pigeons Playing Ping Pong migrate west for an appearance at Boulder, CO’ Fox Theatre (11/12), the band’s first show since April 2016. Finally, fall tour will wrap with one more debut when the band hits Denver’s Mission Ballroom November 13th.
Pigeons will be joined on tour by Sunsquabi (10/29–10/31) and Neighbor (10/16), with Magic Beans providing support for the rest of the dates.
“I think one of the silver linings of this pandemic is all of our renewed appreciation for live music,” singer/guitarist Greg Ormont said in a statement. “The bands, the fans, the venues, we’re all rejuvenated and ready to unleash this energy. Honestly, as fired up as I am to get back on stage, I’m almost more excited to see how the crowd reacts to being back in our collective element. It’s going to be a tour for the ages.”
