Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have announced their Fifteen Year Anniversary Tour, celebrating a decade and a half since the funky foursome first formed with shows along the East Coast and South this fall. The band has added four new dates to its already extensive fall tour schedule, including three shows with support from New Jersey’s Dogs In A Pile in Burlington, VT (12/8); Albany, NY (12/9); and Syracuse, NY (12/10); plus a show at Chattanooga, TN’s Barrelhouse Ballroom (10/7).

“I’ve told the band’s origin story so many times that it almost feels made up at this point,” said singer/guitarist “Scrambled Greg” Ormont. “We started this project for fun back in college and we continue it today for the same reason, with fifteen years of epic jams, big smiles and unforgettable memories behind us, and a lifetime to go.”

The tour will kick off at Ziggy’s in High Point, NC on Thursday, September 15th. The band will then make its long-awaited return to Baltimore for a trio of hometown shows, including a pair of sold-out performances at The 8×10 (9/29–30) that will mark the band’s 48th and 49th times playing at the storied venue, and their first in front of a live audience there since 2015. Pigeons will then make their debut at the award-winning Union Craft Brewing on October 1st for the band’s annual Flocktoberfest event featuring a limited edition PPPP-themed Union Craft brew and support from Domefest alumni Yam Yam.

Pigeons will then co-headline two shows with Nashville indie-rockers Moon Taxi in Athens, GA (10/6) and Memphis, TN (10/8). The band has added support to the majority of their previously announced stops, including Funk You, Electric Kif, Tand, and Funky Dawgz Brass Band. Pigeons’ fall tour will conclude with a pair of New Year’s Eve shows at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE featuring opening sets from Colorado’s Magic Beans on December 30th and 31st.

Tickets for the three newly announced Northeastern shows go on sale this Friday, September 16th at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets for the rest of the tour are available now on the band’s website. View a full list of tour dates below.

Pigeons’ Fifteen Year Anniversary Tour comes on the heels of the band’s sixth studio album Perspective, which debuted in April. The album recently charted on Billboard’s Album Sales & Heatseekers.
