The hybrid tribute fusion of Pink Talking Fish was at full force last weekend, as the band treated fans at the Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs, NY to a unique “Dark Side Of The Gamehendge” set on Saturday, November 19th. Known for their ability to mix the music of Phish, Talking Heads and Pink Floyd, PTF successfully managed to fuse concept albums from two of those artists – Phish and Pink Floyd – over the course of a two set performance.

The albums in question are Phish’s The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday and Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon. While Pink Talking Fish has performed “theme” shows featuring each of those works individually, “Dark Side Of The Gamehendge” was a brand new challenge for the group. With the music of Floyd’s opus 1973 album and Trey Anastasio’s college thesis project to work with, not to mention the entire Talking Heads catalog, the band created numerous exciting transitions to keep up the excitement. Even the opening run of “Speak To Me > The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday > Breathe” is something to behold.

You can see the full setlist from “Dark Side Of The Gamehendge,” below, and listen to a recording via Chris from Jam Buzz.
