On May 9th, the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York City will host A Tribute to Pioneering Women of Blues, Country, and Folk, a new tribute show that is set to pay tribute to past and present women in the music. Thus far, the tribute has announced that its list of performers will honor iconic artists including Sister Rosetta TharpeJoni MitchellEmmylou HarrisGillian Welch, and more. The new show will also serve as a benefit for the Americana Music Association in association with Change The Conversation, a new organization that seeks to fight gender inequality in the music industry.

Tapped for A Tribute to Pioneering Women of Blues, Country, and Folk, the show will host performances by Amy Helm, The Barr Brothers, Cassandra Jenkins, Courtney Marie Andrews, Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), Deva Mahal, Domino Kirke, Elizabeth & The Catapult, Elvis Perkins, Jade Bird, Kam Franklin (The Suffers), Kanene Pipkin (The Lone Bellow), Lola Kirke, Nicki Bluhm, Vera Sola, and more, with other artists anticipated to be added to the bill in future weeks. Lola Kirke will host the event.
