Dead & Company is getting ready to return to Riviera Maya, Mexico for their second annual Playing in the Sand destination event. Hosted by Dead & Company and partners CID Presents from January 17th–20th, 2019, Playing In The Sand will see band members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti perform for three nights on an intimate, white sandy Mexican beach, just feet away from the Caribbean.
Joining Dead & Company for their beach extravaganza are legendary New Orleans-based funk act, Dumpstaphunk, and blues-rock sister act, Larkin Poe. The two bands will each play one set on the beach during the night that Dead & Company has off. The official schedule will be released closer to show.
In addition to the music, the sold-out Playing in the Sand will offer guests an assortment of curated amenities such as all-inclusive food and drink, premium hotel accommodations, shuttle service to and from Cancun International Airport, an official Dead & Company Riviera Maya gift bag, and 24-hour concierge service.
