Polo & Pan stopped by Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on Monday as part of the Cyclorama Tour. The French electronic duo was joined by Kids Return and Fred Fancy as support.

Denver-based producer Fred Fancy opened the show with a danceable mix of disco, funk, and boogie. Dressed in a suit and tie, he apparently meant business as he got the party started, synthesizing house grooves with analog drum machines to create one-of-a-kind soundscapes and stopping at one point to step in front of the decks to catch up on Denver’s Westword magazine while sitting in an office chair.

Kids Return came next to slow things down with a set of chill indie vibes. The duo comprised of childhood friends Adrien Rozé and Clément Savoye came together during the pandemic and gets its name from a film by Takeshi Kitano. The group released its debut LP, Forever Melodies, just weeks ago on October 7th. Members of the crowd waved their phone lights like lighters at one point in the set, illuminating the scenic Colorado mountainside, and after the show, Kids Return posted on social media calling it “the craziest show of our lives.”

Polo & Pan then took the famed Red Rocks stage to deliver a headlining set amidst a dazzling display of colorful LEDs. The house-electronic duo has found itself on some of the world’s biggest stages, having just returned after appearances at Osheaga Festival, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands as well as shows in Europe and Mexico. Their last headlining show in the U.S. was a blowout dance party with Parcels at Hollywood Bowl, and they have an upcoming performance in Paris and will celebrate New Year’s Eve at San Francisco’s 1015 Folsom.
