Queen and Adam Lambert have announced their first ever album/concert film, Live Around the World, which will feature a compilation of tracks from their over 200 shows together. The release will contain 20 tracks on the CD and 22 on the DVD, including the entirety of their recreation of the Live Aid medley as part of the group’s Fire Fight Australia performance earlier this year at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

Aside from Brian May‘s guitar solo tutorials and a couple of quarantine-style, at-home performances, it has been a relatively quiet few months for Queen and Adam Lambert ever since the COVID-19 pandemic forced the postponement of their 2020 world tour. While they are unable to take the Rhapsody tour on the road until next year, the band felt it necessary to provide fans with a little pandemic cheer.

“When we couldn’t tour this year we wanted to give fans something in place of that, and a live album just felt right,” said Lambert in a press statement according to Billboard. “It’s the first time we have released an album together and we have had a lot of fun putting it together, picking out favorite performances over the past seven years.”

May added, “As we all grapple with the challenge of creating live shows in a world dominated by a formidable viral enemy, it seemed the perfect time for us to create a collection of hand-picked live highlights from our Queen shows over the last 7 years with our brother Adam Lambert.”

In addition to hit like “We Are The Champions”, “Under Pressure”, and “Bohemian Rhapsody”, Live Around the World will also include some deeper cuts like “Love Of My Life”, “Tear It Up”, and “Who Wants to Live Forever”. The album pulls songs from shows as early as 2014 and from countries including Australia, the U.S., Japan, Portugal, and the U.K.

Live Around the World is available for pre-order now and will see its official release on October 2nd, 2020. Check out the official trailer for the album below and scroll down for a complete tracklist.
