Questlove: Drummer, DJ, Producer, New York Times Best-Selling Author, and Culinary Entrepreneur? The Roots drummer releases his second book, focusing on food as a uniquely creative art form. Following the success of his first book in 2013, Mo’ Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove, somethingtofoodabout unlocks the artistic process behind food and explores the way that chefs operate as artists in a kitchen.

Hitting stores April 12, 2016, somethingtofoodabout focuses on the modern state of creativity in American cuisine, samples the likes of ten innovative chefs from around the country, and includes a foreword by well-known chef, author, and television personality Anthony Bourdain.

Questlove has been immersing himself in the food culture for a while now, since premiering his “Love’s Drumsticks”, to now hosting a series of Food Salons with world-renowned chefs around NYC, appearing as a Guest Judge on Top Chef Season 11, and has even been featured on several covers of food magazines like New York Magazine, Food & Wine Magazine, and Bon Appetit. Additionally, the musician is a Celebrity Ambassador for Food Bank New York City, is on the City Harvest Food Council, a board member of Edible Schoolyard, the first Artist-in-Residence at the Made in NY Media Center, and is a Founding Member of the CAPA Foundation in Philadelphia.

With food, comes energy. We know Questlove as a man who wears many hats, and now it’s safe to say the man knows how to eat well too.
