Joe Russo’s Almost Dead has canceled this week’s installment of their weekly archival webcast series, RAD Night In America. The cancellation comes in response to the nationwide music industry blackout.

“Along with much of the music industry, we’re going to hit the pause button on RAD Night In America this week,” said JRAD manager Peter Costello in a post to the band’s Facebook page.

A statement from the band accompanied Costello’s caption, explaining the decision to cancel this week’s stream,

Due to recent events please join us as we take an urgent step of action to provoke accountability and change.

As gatekeepers of the culture, it’s our responsibility to not only come together to celebrate the wins, but also hold each other up during a loss.

Join us on Tuesday JUNE 2 as a day to disconnect from work and reconnect with our community.

Along with the statement explaining why the band canceled RAD Night, Costello included a link to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

According to the organization’s website, “The Minnesota Freedom Fund pays criminal bail and immigration bond for those who cannot afford to as we seek to end discriminatory, coercive, and oppressive jailing.” Click here for more information and to donate and read JRAD’s full statement below.
