The last time the band—comprised of guitarist Tom Morello, frontman Zack de la Rocha, bassist Tim Commerford, drummer Brad Wilk—played together was on July 30th, 2o11 at Los Angeles’ L.A. Rising. In recent years, Morello, Commerford, and Wilk have been performing with Prophets of Rage featuring Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real along with DJ Lord.

The newly announced 2020 dates include performances in El Paso, TX (3/26); Las Cruces, NM (3/28); and Phoenix, AZ (3/30). The other two dates are in Indio, CA on April 10th and 17th, indicating that Rage Against The Machine will headline both weekends of Coachella.

Wayne Kamemoto, a longtime associate of the band, bluntly explained to Forbes, “The band’s social media is accurate.”

It is likely no coincidence that the newly announced dates are in the Southwest and near border towns, as Rage In The Machine first officially reunited in 2007, the year before the 2008 election. With the 2020 election around the corner, let’s hope Rage Against The Machine continues to rollout more tour dates.
