Freddie Gibbs was the alleged target of a shooting that took place outside of Rough Trade NYC last night, in Brooklyn, NY. Shots were fired around 1:13 AM last night, and two of Gibbs’ entourage were injured in the altercation, but both are expected to recover. According to a report published by the NY Post, there was only one gunman on the scene.

Gibbs said, “They tried to kill Tupac. They tried to kill me, but I’m still alive.”

According to surveillance footage, the shooter was at the venue, even pretending to be acquainted with Gibbs. Since Rough Trade doesn’t have metal detectors or wands, the gunman was able to bring a weapon inside. However, the shooting occurred outside, despite the shooter’s stalking.

Gibbs was able to flee for safety, and spotted the gunman fleeing east on 9th street. He has yet to be apprehended.
