The 2026 Record Store Day list is here, with hundreds of new and archival releases from stadium superstars to indie and cult favorites on offer. The Grateful Dead, Billy Strings, Ween, Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts, and many more will sell exclusive releases at record stores across the country on April 18th, 2026.
There’s something for everyone in the 2026 Record Store Day list, especially if you’re a live music fan (and if you’re reading this site, you probably are). The Grateful Dead will once again share two archival releases, including a 5LP concert recording from Boston Music Hall on June 11th, 1976 and the more digestible single LP On A Back Porch, Vol. 3. The latter collaboration with Dogfish Head Brewery features a sippable compilation of live recordings from Harpur College 1970 (released in full as Dick’s Picks Vol. 8) through the Truckin’ Up To Buffalo July 4th, 1989 show at Rich Stadium. The estate of Jerry Garcia will also release an anniversary and expanded version of his 1976 solo album Reflections, with outtakes, jams, and previously unreleased live recordings from 1975 and 1976.
Billy Strings will press his recent Tiny Desk Concert onto a 12″ vinyl EP; Pink Floyd will issue the band’s April 26th, 1975 show at the Los Angeles Sports Arena onto vinyl and CD; Neil Young will share a live document of his Chrome Hearts band; and Snarky Puppy will collect several years of highlights from the band’s GroundUp Festival. Though it looked for a moment like Ween may have been getting back together, the alt-underground heroes will instead release a triple LP set of live and studio recordings, Europe “90”, including what guitarist Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo called “the best Ween show of all-time.” His counterpart, Aaron “Gene Ween” Freeman, will also reissue his solo album FREEMAN for the first time since its release in 2014 during Ween’s four-year breakup.
Check out a curated list of releases that stuck out to us below, and sift through the full catalog of 2026 Record Store Day releases here.
13th Floor Elevators We Are Not Live — “2026 Record Store Day reprise of the 1968 album ‘Live’ by the 13th Floor Elevators. Spurned at the time for being billed as “Live” when in fact it was a compilation of previously recorded studio masters, outtakes and alternate mixes. The “very loud” crowd noise was overdubbed and was actually taken from a boxing match and wholly inappropriate for the purpose. Now, almost 60 years on, the album masters are available, in their original sequence, without the crowd noise, to be enjoyed in their full psychedelic splendor.” LP, 2,000 copies.
Brandi Carlile Live At Easy Street Records Vol II — “Nearly two decades after recording her first live album at Seattle’s Easy Street Records, Brandi Carlile returned to the iconic record store for Brandi Carlile Live at Easy Street Records Vol. II. Celebrating her 8th studio album, Returning To Myself, the show marked a full-circle moment for the 11x Grammy Award winner. Joined by The Hanseroth Twins and SistaStrings, Carlile played to a full house and was met with an outpouring of love from fans who celebrated her return to the city where it all began.” LP, 8,000 copies.
Ray Charles Ray Charles Live — “Exclusive to RSD, Tangerine color vinyl and collectable lithograph from the poster bill. 50th Anniversary of his definitive live album and the first ever vinyl release of the entire 75-minute concert. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of this historic concert, this is remastered by five-time Grammy Award Winning Engineer Michael Graves with Vinyl Mastering by Jeff Powell. Cream Wheels Of Fire: Live At The Fillmore Auditorium & Winterland Ballroom — “Special 3LP Expanded Edition of Cream’s third album, Wheels of Fire, features the original four tracks released as Wheels of Fire: Live at the Fillmore, as well as eight additional tracks performed at the March 1968 concerts.
Seven of the additional tracks were issued on Live Cream in 1970 and Live Cream Volume 2 in 1972. “We’re Going Wrong” has never been officially released before.” 3LP, 4,500 copies.

Dinosaur Jr. Live in Hollywood 1991 – The Green Mind Tour — “Green Mind was the fourth studio album by grunge rock royalty Dinosaur Jr., originally released in 1991. It was the band’s first release after bassist Lou Barlow’s departure, and their first released by a major label.
2026 sees the 35th anniversary of this landmark record, that quickly established the sound of US grunge that would follow throughout the 1990s. This exclusive live set captures the band performing tracks from Green Mind live in Hollywood around the release of this well-loved and critically acclaimed record. This raw live set has never been released on vinyl before and this pressing on transparent vinyl is exclusive to Record Store Day 2026.” LP, 1,450 copies.
FREEMAN (Gene Ween) FREEMAN — “First released in 2014 – and with the original vinyl now fetching hundreds on Discogs – Aaron Freeman’s (aka Gene Ween) ‘post-Ween’ band debut is finally reissued for Record Store Day 2026, in an exclusive orange & purple split-colour pressing. FREEMAN is a heady mix of psychedelic, bluesy-art rock refracted through Gene’s Pop filter. The content is heavier, almost spiritual, compared to his previous work in Ween, yet the album epitomises Gene’s talent for the sardonic and his weird warped brilliance.” LP, 3,000 copies.
Jerry Garcia Reflections (50th Anniversary) — “One of Garcia’s most artistically unified statements of harmony, affirmation, and joy celebrates its golden anniversary with an expanded 3xLP set. Reflections (50th Anniversary Edition) presents the remastered original studio album, recorded with the Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band – plus two bonus LPs featuring studio outtakes, jams and four previously unreleased live recordings. Ghost-Note Swagism — “The long-out-of-print sophomore album from funk-futurist powerhouse Ghost-Note, led by Snarky Puppy’s Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, finally returns to wax. Originally released in 2018 and unavailable for years, Swagismhas become one of the most sought-after modern funk records—commanding triple-digit prices on the secondary market. Featuring an all-star lineup including MonoNeon, Cory Henry, and Nigel Hall, this explosive 17-track double LP fuses deep funk, hip-hop, and jazz into an unstoppable groove odyssey.” 2LP, 1,500 copies.
Grateful Dead Boston Music Hall, Boston, MA 6/11/76 — “The fifth show of the Grateful Dead’s comeback tour in June 1976 finds the band firing on all cylinders as they settle back into life on the road. A setlist filled with older material (“Candyman,” “Eyes Of The World,” “Tennessee Jed”), new material (“Might As Well,” “Lazy Lightning” > “Supplication,” “Samson and Delilah”), and new arrangements of classics from the Dead’s early days (“St. Stephen,””Dancing In The Street”), this new iteration of the Grateful Dead featuring the return of Mickey Hart is one of the most powerful and precise versions of the band to date. With the Wall Of Sound retired, the Dead were playing the intimate confines of small theatres for the first time in years, and the perfection they achieved on this tour is on full display on June 11, 1976, in Boston. The magnificence of the vocal arrangements is one of the many new sonic highlights of the 1976 Grateful Dead, many Dead Heads saying the vocal harmonies never sounded as great as they did in June 1976. Songs like “Looks Like Rain” and “The Music Never Stopped” show off this renewed focus on the spectacular vocals the Dead were able to achieve.” 5LP, 6,100 copies.
Grateful Dead On A Back Porch, Vol. 3 — “Dogfish Head Brewery & Grateful Dead invite you for another round of good times On A Back Porch. Support indie record stores while enjoying easy-listening live Dead and easy-drinking beer. Limited Edition, 180-gram LP. Produced for release by David Lemieux.” LP, 5,500 copies.

Save the bees!” LP, 2,500 copies.
Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris All The Roadrunning — “To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the collaboration album between Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris, All The Roadrunning, is reissued on 2LP smoky marble vinyl as part of Record Store Day 2026. A treasure trove of duets recorded over a period of seven years…Knopfler, who first met Harris on a Chet Atkins TV special, said “Emmylou’s respect and affection for the players and the music struck me then and still does. In my writing, I’d been dealing a fair bit with the male/female shape. With that amazing voice, Emmylou, now more than ever, seems to capture a kind of universal female experience, something that speaks to all ages. After our first session and then making a couple of duets for a Hank Williams tribute, I thought we should go on recording, and thankfully Emmylou felt the same.” 2LP, 4,000 copies.

Joni Mitchell For The Roses — “Joni’s 1972 album, For The Roses, was her first for David Geffen’s Asylum Records. Joni originally had intended the album cover to be art that she created that was illustrative of the song, “For The Roses,” and showed her cynicism to the music business at the time. Geffen vetoed her artwork because he thought it was not a good look to have a horse with roses coming out of its ass! So Joni ultimately compromised to use the Joel Bernstein photo that was ultimately the cover.
This special limited edition for Record Store Day restores Joni’s original vision for the cover artwork for the first time. Pressed on rose color vinyl.” LP, 3,500 copies.
