Reggae Rise Up Florida has announced the artist lineup for its ninth annual festival, set to take place at Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg, FL on from March 14th–17th, 2024.
The 2024 festival, produced by LNE Presents, will kick off on Thursday, March 14th with headlining performances by SoCal hip-hop reggae/rock crossover outfit Dirty Heads and acclaimed Chicago rapper-producer Lupe Fiasco. On Friday, March 15th and Saturday, March 16th, fans will be treated to headlining sets by a string of domestic reggae heavy hitters, Rebelution and SOJA (Friday) Slightly Stoopid and Iration (Saturday). On Sunday, March 17th Reggae Rise Up Florida will showcase the cultural roots of the genre with a collaborative performance by Bob Marley scions Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Stephen Marley in addition to a set by living reggae legend Burning Spear.
Each day’s artist lineup will be rounded out by an eclectic mix of rising acts and old favorites including Ballyhoo!, Mike Love, Fortunate Youth, Collie Buds, Protoje, Steel Pulse, Rawayana, Surfer Girl, The Expendables, The Green, The Original Wailers, Yelawolf, The Kaleidoscope Kid, Little Stranger, Artikal Sound System, and more.
Located just across the bay from Tampa, Vinoy Park sits adjacent to the new landmark St. Pete Pier in the heartof downtown St. Petersburg, FL. The waterfront park provides provides acces to both the laid-back coastal culture of the area and the excitement of the city’s arts and entertainment scene including a variety of options for restaurants, accommodations, and off-site activities.
The announcement of Reggae Rise Up Florida 2024 follows the completion of last week’s Las Vegas edition of the event. Reggae Rise Up also hosts festivals in Utah, Maryland, and Costa Rica.
