Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band will return to the stage next spring for a run of 12 tour dates.

The Beatles drummer will let fans come to him this time around as he and his band comprised of Steve Lukather (Toto), Edgar WinterColin Hay (Men At Work), Warren Ham (Kansas, Toto), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), and Gregg Bissonette set up shop in Las Vegas for six shows at The Venetian. The residency will begin on May 22nd and run until June 1st. After that, the band will head south of the border to play two nights at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional on June 5th and 6th. Details of an additional four shows will be announced soon.

“I’ve always said I’m my happiest when I’m playing with great musicians – and this band is one of the very best,” Ringo said in a statement before suggesting that he may not continue touring for too much longer. “But even so, sometime during and just after every tour I think ok that’s it – I’m going to stop touring. My family don’t believe me anymore and so it comes as no surprise to them that once again, I’m taking the All Starr Band back on the road! We’ll be doing 12 shows in May and June, going back to Mexico – which I love – and we’ll be doing a bit of a residency in Las Vegas at the Venetian. See you out there and until then I send you peace and love.”

Tickets for Ringo’s shows in Mexico City are on sale now via Ticketmaster. Ticketing details for the Las Vegas shows will be announced soon.

Ringo Starr also recently released his fourth studio EP, Rewind Forward, featuring four new songs, including collaborations with Steve Lukather and his Toto bandmate Joe Williams along with Mike Campbell of the Heartbreakers. The album also includes contributions from Joe Walsh, Steve Dudas, Lance Morrison, and more, plus a song written by Paul McCartney, “Feeling the Sunlight”. Both Beatles also appear alongside their late bandmates on the recently released “last” Beatles song “Now and Then”.
