Today, Robert Randolph & The Family Band have announced their 2018 summer tour dates, which span from July 13th through to September 8th. The powerful soul act, which received a Best Contemporary Blues Album Grammy nomination this year for their new album, Got Soul, will perform at over a dozen festivals across the rest of the summer, in addition to a smattering of headlining shows across the country.
The tour kicks off tonight at Sandusky, Ohio’s Jackson Street Pier, continuing on to New York’s Pleasantville Music Festival on Saturday. On July 21st, the band will hit Squaw Valley, California’s Wanderlust Festival, continuing on to Jeezum Crow Festival in Jay, Vermont on the 28th.
On August 4th, the band will head to Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Downtown Summerfest ahead of a performance at Greenville, South Carolina’s Greenville Zoo on August 10th followed by Jackson, Mississippi’s Bright Lights Belhaven Nights Festival on the 11th. Festival appearances in St. Joseph, Missouri, and North Thornton, New Hampshire, will take place on the 17th and 18th.
A stop at San Diego’s Embarcadero Marina Park South on August 19th kicks off Robert Randolph & The Family Band’s newly announced headlining tour dates. From there, the band has charted out a four-night Colorado run, which will see the group roll through Vail for Vail Hot Summer Nights, followed by shows at Crested Butte’s Center For The Arts and Fort Collins’ Washington’s. The Colorado run will culminate with an appearance in Trinidad for Trinidaddio Blues Fest.
Moving on, Robert Randolph & The Family Band will close out August at St. Louis’ Atomic Cowboy on the 31st. From there, the band will play two nights in Fishers, Indiana, at Kroger Symphony on the Prairie. On September 7th, Robert Randolph and company will head to New York City’s Apollo Theater for a highly anticipated performance with frequent collaborator and Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh. The band’s summer tour ends at Jasper, Alabama’s Foothill Festivals on September 8th.
