The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has announced a mostly acoustic solo tour with shows in nine cities around the U.S. and Canada.
The rock and roll legend will play acoustic interpretations of classic songs from The Who, as well as rarities, solo compositions, and more from his 60-year career at intimate venues with a band comprised of Simon Townshend (guitar), Billy Nicholls (mandolin), Jody Linscott (percussion), Doug Boyle (guitar), John Hogg (bass), Katie Jacoby (violin), Steve Weston (harmonica), Geraint Watkins (keyboards/accordion), Scott Devours (drums), plus special guests including Grammy-nominated Scottish singer/songwriter KT Tunstall and acclaimed, offbeat singer/songwriter Dan Bern on select dates. Daltrey will also engage with fans from the stage with question-and-answer interactions, according to a press release.
The run is set to begin on June 12th at Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna, VA and make stops in Ontario, New York, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Indiana before concluding at The Pavilion at Ravinia in Highland Park, IL on June 29th.
