Rolling Loud California has announced the lineup for its 2023 event, set to take place in the SoFi Stadium-adjacent Hollywood Park Grounds in Inglewood on March 3rd, 4th, and 5th. The event is due to feature headliners Playboi Carti (Friday, 3/3), Travis Scott (Saturday, 3/4), and Future (Sunday, 3/5) in addition to a billed “special guest” appearance by Lil Wayne (Sunday, 3/5).

While all of the 2023 headliners are influential names in contemporary hip-hop, perhaps the most notable inclusion is Travis Scott, the popular rapper who has been embroiled in lawsuits and controversy since a crowd surge at his November 2021 Astroworld festival left ten attendees dead. He has largely shied away from performing in the time since. Per the Los Angeles Times, “Scott hasn’t performed in L.A. since a 2019 date at the Forum. … He had been booked for Day N Vegas in October before that festival was canceled. He was also booked for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts festival before dropping off the bill.”

Travis Scott is not the only Rolling Loud California 2023 headliner with a dubious live appearance track record. Lil Wayne has frequently dropped off of festival lineups at the last minute in the past, most recently at this past summer’s Governors Ball Music Festival in New York.

2023 will mark the first edition of Rolling Loud California to be held in Inglewood, the epicenter of West Coast hip-hop for the last several decades. Previous editions of the California event have taken place in San Bernardino. Rolling Loud also hosts events in New York, Miami, Thailand, and Portugal.

As Inglewood Mayor James Butts told the Los Angeles Times in a statement, “We are ready to welcome Rolling Loud and hip-hop fans from all over the world to Inglewood over the course of this three-day event. A festival of this caliber combined with the city’s rich music history is a winning combination.”

Tickets for Rolling Loud California 2023 go on sale on Friday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m. local time. For complete ticketing details, head here.
