The Rolling Stones brought out a very special guest last night at Summer Fest in Milwaukee, as the venerated Buddy Guy came out mid-performance to help the Stones cover a version of Muddy Waters’ song “Champagne and Reefer”. Guy has joined the Stones many times before, and the band was right at home with the legendary blues musician in the pocket.

Interestingly enough, the Rolling Stones got their band name from a Muddy Waters song, “Rollin’ Stone”, as the band emerged from the British blues revival of the early 1960s. You can see the setlist below, which includes a bust-out version of “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” – a song that hadn’t been played in over 5 years.
