During a recent interview on SiriusXM‘s The Beatles Channel, decorated impresario Ron Delsener let slip a few details about some of his upcoming shows.

When the program host introduced the “legendary and still very active Ron Delsener” and asked him what he’s doing “these days,” Delsener responded,

Well, I have 5 shows coming up with Widespread Panic at The Beacon [Theatre], I have Phish coming up for four nights at Radio Cit—no, at The Garden. Always every year they play four nights at Madison Square Garden. Six shows with Steely Dan, John Fogerty coming out with Bonnie Raitt

Ron Delsener Reveals Upcoming Shows By Phish, Widespread Panic, Steely Dan, More

While the shows mentioned by Delsener are exciting and seem relatively plausible, it’s probably smart to take Delsener’s statements with a grain of salt. Neither Phish nor Widespread Panic have officially announced the New York runs to which he referred, though Phish does typically close out each year with a four-night run at MSG, as he noted. Steely Dan has a number of dates scheduled at The Beacon in October, though their tour schedule only shows five upcoming dates at the historic theater rather than the six mentioned in the clip. Bonnie Raitt is scheduled to open for Mark Knopfler at MSG on September 25th, which could very well be the show where Fogerty may make an appearance.

We’ll just have to wait and see how all of these play out, but if Ron Delsener’s comments are true, it looks like there’s a whole lot of exciting live music coming to New York City in the near future.
