[Originally published 10/6/25, updated 10/20/25]: Rush has once again bolstered its 2026 reunion tour, the band’s first since the death of drummer Neil Peart in 2020, to include 17 additional cities. Following an initial announcement of a limited seven-city tour, the Fifty Something Tour will now visit major markets in Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, Seattle, San Antonio, Washington, D.C., and more [get tickets].

Rush bassist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson, and new drummer Anika Nilles (Jeff Beck) will play a previously-announced, four-night hometown stand in Toronto (8/7, 8/9, 8/11, 8/13) before embarking on the newly announced dates. The new shows will pick up on Friday, August 21st at Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena ahead of stops in Detroit (8/26), Montreal (9/2), and Boston (9/12), prior to what was originally the tour-closing two-night stay in Cleveland (9/17, 9/19).

The tour will now run into December, with new shows added in San Antonio (9/23), Denver (10/5), Seattle (10/10), San Jose, CA (10/15), Washington, D.C. (10/25), a pair of Florida stops in Hollywood (11/5) and Tampa (11/9), Atlanta (11/25), and more before finally wrapping in Canada for shows in Edmonton (12/10) and Vancouver (12/15).

Tickets for the newly-added Rush 2026 Fifty Something Tour will be available via an artist pre-sale on Monday, October 27th at 12 p.m. local time in the U.S. and Canada. Fans can sign up for the pre-sale here. No code is necessary, access is tied to your account. Tickets for the new dates will then go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 31st at 12 p.m. local time. The band is also offering exclusive pre-sales to Citi and American Express cardmembers, set for Friday, October 24th at 12 p.m. local time.

“We are blown away from the response to the announcement we made a few weeks ago that we’re going back on tour,” Lee shared in a new video following the overwhelming response to the initial dates. “I cannot tell you how surprising and overwhelmed we are and the way you guys have welcomed Anika Nilles into the Rush family. It’s been very heartwarming, and I know that she’s very appreciative of that. We’re even more excited to get back on stage and play with her and to go through the plethora of songs that we’re planning.”

These shows will mark the first time Lee and Lifeson have toured together since the finale of the R40 Tour on August 1st, 2015 at the Kia Forum—the same venue where the 2026 tour will begin on June 7th. This upcoming tour of “evening with” shows will see the band play two unique sets each night, drawn from a list of 35 classic and fan-favorite songs.

[10/6/25]: Surviving Rush members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will reunite in 2026 for the band’s first shows since the death of drummer and lyricist Neil Peart in 2020, marking the first Rush performances in 11 years. Dubbed the Fifty Something Tour, the trek will celebrate the band’s music and legacy while honoring the life of Neil Peart.

Lee and Lifeson will be joined by renowned drummer Anika Nilles, who played on Jeff Beck’s final tour in 2022. Lee shared his excitement for Nilles’ involvement, stating, “I could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated Rush fanbase, who, we know, will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role.”

He went on to add, “Before we hit the stage, we also hope to add another musician or two to expand our sound a wee bit and free up Alex and I, in order to show off some of our new fancy dance steps.”

Geddy Lee & Alex Lifeson Announce Rush Fifty Something Tour

The tour will kick off on June 7th with two shows at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, the same venue where Rush performed its final show with Peart in 2015. The dates will span across multiple major cities, including New York, Chicago, Fort Worth, Toronto, and Mexico City, culminating in Cleveland in September. Each show will feature a two-set “evening with…” format, with a unique setlist drawn from a list of 35 classic Rush songs.

Fans can sign up for the Rush artist ticket pre-sale here before Thursday, October 9th at 11:59 PM ET. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 17th here.

In his statement, Lee reflected on the emotional significance of the reunion: “It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil… after all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we fucking miss it.”

Peart’s widow Carrie Nuttall-Peart and daughter Olivia Peart also offered their support, expressing their excitement for the tour and honoring Neil’s irreplaceable legacy: “Neil’s musicianship was singular. Compositions of intricacy and power that expanded what rhythm itself could express. … As the band enters this new chapter, it promises to be truly unforgettable. We are excited to see how their new vision unfolds, and to hear this legendary music played live once again.”

Geddy Lee’s statement:

It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil. A lifetime’s worth of songs that we had put our cumulative hearts and souls into writing, recording and playing together onstage. And so, after all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we fucking miss it, and that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music. So in 2026 my BFF Lerxst (aka Alex Lifeson) and I are going to hit the road once again to pay tribute to our past and to Neil by performing a vast selection of Rush songs in a handful of cities. No small task, because as we all know Neil was irreplaceable.

Yet life is full of surprises, and we have been introduced to another remarkable person; an incredible drummer and musician who is adding another chapter to our story while continuing her own fascinating musical journey. Her name is Anika Nilles, and we could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated Rush fanbase, whom, we know, will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role. Before we hit the stage, we also hope to add another musician or two to expand our sound a wee bit and free up Alex and I, in order to show off some of our new fancy dance steps.

Lerxst, Anika and myself, along with many of our longstanding crew members have been hard at work rehearsing and designing the kind of Rush show you’ve grown accustomed to expect from us. We dearly hope you will come along and help us celebrate our history together.

Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart’s statement:

We are thrilled to support the Fifty Something tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil’s extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist.

Neil’s musicianship was singular. Compositions of intricacy and power that expanded what rhythm itself could express. As both drummer and lyricist, he was irreplaceable. Inimitable in his artistry, and unmatched in the depth and imagination he brought to the lyrics that inspired and moved so many, he profoundly shaped how fans connected with him and the band, giving voice and meaning to their own lives.

As the band enters this new chapter, it promises to be truly unforgettable. We are excited to see how their new vision unfolds, and to hear this legendary music played live once again.
