This month marks the 35th anniversary of Rush’s pivotal album, Moving Pictures, and the band took the opportunity to celebrate. Of course, one of the most famous tracks on Moving Pictures is “Tom Sawyer,” the band’s seminal progressive rock anthem.
In honor of Moving Pictures’ anniversary, the band released a “Megamix” of “Tom Sawyer” performances from 2003-2015, including tours like “Rush in Rio”, “R30”, “Snakes & Arrows Live”, “Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland”, “Clockwork Angels Tour”, and “R40 LIVE”. It’s a rockin’ tribute, and you can stream it below:
The biggest question surrounding Rush is whether they will tour again. Geddy Lee addressed the question in a recent Rolling Stone interview, saying, “We don’t have any immediate plans for that… Right now we’re on holiday. I hope once the new year rolls around and the juices get flowing and we get hungry again we can talk about that.”
