Santana traveled to the stunning FirstBank Amphitheater just south of Nashville on Wednesday to rock the natural amphitheater formed out of a rock quarry. The 19-song performance saw Carlos Santana mine his extensive catalog of hits.
The show began with a recording of the group’s introduction from Woodstock before Santana launched into the infectious drum rhythm of “Soul Sacrifice”. Wednesday’s concert was loaded with the guitarist’s stable of favorites including “Black Magic Woman”, a cover of Tito Puente‘s “Oye como va”, “Incident at Neshabur”, and more. The show also saw Santana nod to fellow countercultural hitmakers The Zombies with a rendition of “She’s Not There”, and an encore that saw a double dose of The Chamber Brothers with “Are You Ready” and “Love, Peace and Happiness”.
