Sheryl Crow was the featured musical guest on Tuesday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and the veteran singer didn’t disappoint with a pre-recorded, at-home performance covering George Harrison‘s “Beware of Darkness”.
The song, which delivers a message that certainly relates to the current pandemic in which the world finds itself, appeared on Harrison’s All Things Must Pass solo album, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Crow included a recorded version of her cover on her latest studio album, 2019’s Threads.
The video sees Crow seated at the piano in her private rehearsal studio space where she delivers a solo rendition of the slower rock tune. After introducing the song from Harrison as one of her favorite artists “Of all time,” Crow starts into her performance with multiple camera angles which shine a light on her expansive home studio.
