Psy-trance/psybient super producer and overall heady dude, Simon Posford, will bring his Shpongle project to North America in support of the recently released Museum of Consciousness album. It appears that Posford has a new psychedelic structure that he will be bringing along with him for these DJ sets, created by Zebbler and dubbed the Shpongletron 3.0, which features image mapping, LED infinity mirrors and more.

The tour will see Shpongle make stops at the newly opened Westbury, NY venue The Space, D.C.’s 9:30 Club, The Orange Peel in Asheville, stops all along California, a two-night run at Irving Plaza in NYC, and more. Desert Dwellers are scheduled to open all dates.

While these are DJ sets, which will feature Posford sans his Shpongle cohort Raja Ram, there are rumors that a couple of Shpongle Live band shows are in the works as well (check out our review of their live Hammerstein show here).
