Sigh In July Music & Arts Festival have announced their 2019 lineup. The Athens, GA grassroots festival will return for its fourth year on July 26th and 27th at Live Wire Athens. Hosted by jazz-rock fusion group Universal Sigh, this year focuses on connecting artistic communities through the language of music, and will feature a wide-array of headlining performances on two stages by Universal Sigh, EarthCry, Funk You, Jazz is PHSH, The Orange Constant, and more.
Sigh In July focuses on local business involvement, and this year’s proceeds will directly benefit AthFest Educates, the non-profit organization behind AthFest. AthFest Educates is committed to sustaining and advancing music and art education for youth in Athens-Clarke County, GA. Staying true to a local emphasis, Atlanta, GA neighbors Sweetwater Brewing Company pose as this year’s headlining sponsor, giving attendees a taste of some home-brewed beer and IPAs for the hot weekend.
Universal Sigh member and event coordinator Pace Maynard states, “We love our tour life and we love our Athens home. Sigh in July is the melting pot that blends it all together. The festival gives back to our community by featuring all our personal favorite performances from the local to national level.”
Attendees will enjoy Athens’ largest music and arts showcase in the month of July with two days of an open air artist market, free arts and crafts, live painters, and holistic healing workshops. You can purchase single day tickets here, and limited number of two-day passes here.
