Sigur Rós has announced a 2013 North American Tour, traveling throughout the continent in March and April of the upcoming year. Labeled “The Trek”, the tour will be a very unique live experience in comparison to the already unique sound produced by the band. For their Spring 2013 tour, Sigur Rós will be joined by an extended brass and string section, in addition to a variety of other guest-musicians. This tour promises to display brand new material, different from the band’s latest album, “Valtari”. The band is even ensuring this display of new sounds and visuals by including a new EP with every purchased ticket for this tour. The EP is a three track digital copy, containing new tracks from Sigur Rós.

There are twelve announced American tour dates, yet Sigur Rós is touring throughout the world, starting their latest tour in Australia and Ending in Japan. Tickets for their United States’ shows, including the March 25th Madison Square Garden show, go on sale November 16th, 2012.  All American tour dates can be found below, and tickets can be purchased via the band’s website.
