San Diego-bred reggae-rock septet Slightly Stoopid has announced the details of its Summer Traditions 2022 tour. The lengthy run of shows will take the band across the U.S. with support from Pepper, Common Kings, and Fortunate Youth from July through September.
Slightly Stoopid will continue its annual tradition of performing in amphitheaters throughout the summer in 2022. The band initially started the yearly jaunt in 2007 but has had to take the last couple of years off due to the ongoing pandemic.
Things will kick off in earnest on July 7th in Bonner, MT before the seven-piece works through Nampa, ID (7/8); Bend, OR (7/9); and Tacoma, WA (7/10) throughout the early part of the month. Slightly Stoopid will perform five shows in its home state of California—namely Avila Beach (7/14), Irvine (7/15), Santa Barbara (7/17), Murphys (7/22), and Berkeley (7/23)—before trekking across the country to the East Coast.
Stops in Boston, MA (7/28); Philadelphia, PA (7/29); and Asbury Park, NJ (7/30) will turn the calendar to August and send the group south to St. Augustine, FL (8/4) and Key West, FL (8/7). To Albuquerque, NM (8/11) the tour will go, followed by shows in Sandy, UT (8/12); Oklahoma City, OK (8/18); Houston, TX (8/19); New Braunfels, TX (8/20); Irving, TX (8/21); and finally, a hometown tour-closer in San Diego, CA on September 3rd.
“We’re super pumped to hit the road this summer and finally bring the Summer Traditions Tour around the country,” exclaimed lead vocalist Miles Doughty in a press release. “Always a blessing to share the stage with our good friends Pepper, Common Kings, and Fortunate Youth. We’re looking forward to some epic collaborations on stage and are stoked to keep our summertime tradition going! See you soon Party People!”
