Slightly Stoopid brought its Step Into The Sun Tour to Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre earlier this month, and the San Diego-bred fusion outfit has shared pro-shot video of one of the night’s biggest highlights: an explosive rendition of “Somebody” featuring hip-hop duo Little Stranger with special guests DJ Z-Trip and Dave Matthews Band trumpeter Rashawn Ross.

Directed, filmed, and edited by Global Extreme, the video perfectly captures the electricity on stage as Little Stranger hypes the audience with high-energy rhymes, spitting verses from “Brain Fog” and the duo’s collab with G. Love, “Live Illegal”, while turntablist Z-Trip adds his trademark scratch textures and Rashawn Ross brings soaring brass to the mix. Check out the video below.

Slightly Stoopid’s Step Into The Sun Tour will wind down with a series of festival appearances at Reggae Rise Up Oregon in Redmond, OR (8/30), McHenry Music Festival in McHenry, IL (9/13), Reggae Rise Up Vegas in Las Vegas, NV (10/5), and Mission Bayfest in San Diego, CA (10/17).

The band also recently announced its first new studio album in eight years and shared the breezy title track, “Step Into The Sun”.

Looking ahead to 2026, Slightly Stoopid will host the 11th edition of its beloved destination festival, Closer To The Sun, on January 10th–14th in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The all-inclusive event will feature three Slightly Stoopid sets alongside performances by RebelutionDirty HeadsPepperThe ElovatersThe Movement, and more. Special appearances from Damian and Stephen Marley—including a collaborative “Traffic Jam” set and a solo acoustic “Old Soul Unplugged” set from Stephen—promise to make this year’s edition one for the books.
