As part of its extended 50th anniversary celebration, live comedy and music juggernaut Saturday Night Live (SNL) has announced SNL50: The Homecoming Concert, a star-studded blowout at New York, NY’s Radio City Music Hall—just steps from the show’s longtime home at 30 Rockefeller Plaza—on February 14th.
SNL50: The Homecoming Concert will feature performances by Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Chris Martin, David Byrne, Eddie Vedder, Jack White, Jelly Roll, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, DEVO, Mumford & Sons, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The B-52s, and The Roots. An announcement by NBC also notes that “more acts [will be] announced in the days leading up to the event.” SNL50: The Homecoming Concert is hosted by cast alum and The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon and produced by Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson.
While no in-person tickets will be sold to the SNL50 homecoming concert at Radio City Music Hall, fans will be able to attend screenings of the event at select IMAX theaters at Regal Cinemas including the Regal Edwards Ontario Palace in California, the Regal USA King of Prussia in Pennsylvania, the Regal Lone Star in Texas, the Regal Deer Park in New York, and the Regal South Beach in Florida. Free tickets will be available for Fandango FanClub and Regal Crown Club members, as well as IMAX subscribers, at a later date. Find theater listings near you here. In other SNL50 news, NBC just aired the Questlove-directed Ladies and Gentlemen… 50 Years of SNL Music, a three-hour documentary featuring untold stories behind the show’s musical performances, sketches, and cameos from throughout its half-century run. You can watch it on-demand on Peacock. Saturday Night Live will wrap up its birthday festivities with a three-hour primetime special, SNL50: The Anniversary Special, airing on Sunday, February 16th on NBC and Peacock.
