Soule Monde, made up of Russ Lawton (drums) and Ray Paczkowski (keys) of the Trey Anastasio Band were set to play NYC’s Iridium Jazz Club last night, when the social media universe went to off at the news that Trey Anastasio would sit in with the duo.
According to Jambands.com, the Phish guitarist wound up joining Soule Monde for both the 8:30 and 10:30 shows, which delved into the duo’s original numbers, leaning on some heavy improvisation. However, after several standing ovations, the trio did perform “Cayman Review,” a TAB original to end the night.
